To everyone at the Children's Center:

A very special thank you to each and every one of you for the past 5 and half years.  Julie is just finishing a hectic first month of first grade, and I find myself looking back our years with the Children's Center and of all the wonderful people we have met through the years.  Some have moved and some are still there, but all have been a very important part of our daughter's life.

I think especially about our first anxious days when Julie was just 6 months old.  The warmth and friendliness of Claudette and Jody gave us the security to put our infant daughter in the care of others.

In the infant group with Jody, she began to trust the world and learned life is lots of fun.  When she moved up to the toddler group, Mary became a very important person in her life.  Besides giving her a sense of security and trust, she helped give her self confidence and independence and a genuine sense of caring toward others.

During those preschool years, she always wanted to go to school because she had so much fun and learned so much.  She especially liked the special events like field trips, holiday and birthday parties, the plays and most recently the t-shirt painting.  Julie will always remember her teachers Susan, Doreen and Beth who made those years so special for her.

Also a special thanks to Beth.  Julie has developed a great interest in learning and reading and is well prepared for first grade (at least so far, so good!).  I'm sure she will continue with that desire to learn that Beth helped to instill in her.

And especially thanks to Claudette for a well run center without which I would not have lasted one day at work.  O am very grateful to everyone who took the time to communicate with us her routines and everyday accomplishments, and some not so everyday ones.  I can't tell you how important that was for us, especially in those first few years.  Of course, the Children's Center has a safe, stimulating environment and appropriate supervision but most important are the people who truly cared for and loved our daughter, the most important person in the world to us!

Thanks again to everyone for all your hard work, time, effort and caring.  We will always remember Julie's happy years at the Children's Center.  Our love and best wishes for everyone!
