The Children's Center ChatterSPRING IS HERE!The sun is shining, the weather is warm and the children are having a wonderful time playing outside in the sandbox and on the slides and swings. As I wrote last month’s newsletter, it was cold and snowy outside. Please don’t forget to keep an eye on the weather report though because we may still need hats and mittens for the early morning outside yard time. During the month of March we needed to stay inside most of the time, but we kept ourselves busy every day. At the beginning of the month, we listened to our favorite music and made necklaces out of beads and macaroni. Rice art was so popular last month that we decided to repeat it again in April. St. Patrick’s Day was celebrated by wearing green and decorating shamrock cookies. We all looked great in our green clothes, complemented nicely by the freshly fallen snow. Pudding Day and Popcorn Day were also very popular, we’re always happy when we can eat and do activities. We finished off the month by welcoming spring on “Plant Day”. Our plants are all growing and will soon be beautiful marigolds. Celebrating birthdays in the month of February were Ian, Alison, Tyler, Shoshanna and Lauren. Celebrating birthdays in the month of March were Rachael M., Rachel S., Cross, Emma, Sebastian, Julia N. and Beth. Hope they all were happy. Don’t forget to check your child’s bag for seasonal clothes. Anyone wishing to donate to the Interfaith Food Pantry may continue to do so by leaving items on Claudette’s desk. You recently received a note concerning the Cystic Fibrosis Walk. Anyone wishing to contribute may leave a check or money in an envelope marked “Cystic Fibrosis” in the tuition box or on Claudette’s desk. It will be forwarded to the Purcell Family. Please return April vacation attendance slips and Summer/Fall registration slips as soon as possible. If you have any questions about programs, please see Claudette. As always, thank you for your continuing support. HAPPY SPRINGQuote of the month: “The difference between memorizing
and learning is understanding.” |
